From my greyed memories the only successful way to import DVCPro footage into Vegas Pro is to use the Device Explorer which then again needs access to the full origin DVCPro media path created by the DVCPro camera/recorder - the P2 card root folder. Direct access to a single DVCPro MXF file isn't the way to go in Vegas Pro. If you don't have access to the origin media path you might be lost. Not sure though.

Thanks, I will try doing what you suggested again.

@MyChain Hi, I know this is no help but just for the record I get the same.

@MyChain

Try converting to ProRes with Shutter Encoder.

@john_dennis Hi, why do we only see 1 stereo audio track on the timeline, when the OP shows 6 & MediaInfo shows 6?

@Former user you need to enable " import mxf as multichanel" in preferences.

In VEGAS I get the same problem as the OP. But the file opens normally in Adobe Premiere and Davince Resolve. The solution pointed out by @john_dennis is the best alternative for VEGAS.
