I've read here that a good format for rendering when creating clips for a long project is MXF. Unfortunately my MPC-BE player (v1.4.6) won't player MXF files. Does anyone know of a free player that will, preferably that doesn't need installing. I'm using a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Thanks.

However, I use VLC quite happily, whether straight from my Canon XF300 MXFs or via the SONY MXF Render.
Thanks. I have VLC and it works. Just wish I could get it to play on my right-hand monitor (monitor 1). What I meant by "doesn't need installing" is that the program works without installing anything into Windows. Both VLC and MHC-BE have versions that do this. Cheers.
