Need old Nvidia driver

wilri001 wrote on 3/16/2017, 9:08 PM

I have problems with the oldest Nvidia driver listed on their website. Vegas support recommends one older than Nvidia offers. So where can you get an old Nvidia driver that works?

By the way, I don't care about render speed. I'm editing 6 HD1080 tracks and need the graphics support in multicam edit.

But there's always a core running 100% (13% of the 8 core AMD 8350) when nothing is going on at all.But only when GPU turned on.

And keyboard and mouse are not responsive for many seconds. This even happens without GPU turned on, but only when Vegas running.

This is with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, and Vegas Pro 13, Nvidia 750ti.

I read posts where people run without problems and fast with new video cards, but that's not my experience with this card, which isn't even that new anymore. I am open to buying a newer video card, but not if it isn't going to help in multicam edit and also have these same problems.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Go to their download page, fill out your card information, and click on Beta and Older Drivers.

Yes. I did that. The oldest driver is 373.06 from Oct. 2016. Not nearly old enough.
This is with Windows 10 64 bit selected. Will Windows 7 drivers work in Windows 10?

It’s conceivable but it is hard to tell. The best thing would be to download them and try to see if they work.

I see back to 364.72 when I search Win 10 64-bit and your card.

I would try 368.69 first, as reported by Magix staff here (the GTX 745 has the same Maxwell1 architecture as your card). There are several positive reports about 376.33 with Vegas (although I haven't seen one for a Maxwell1 card yet).

Thanks Nick! I've been using 368.69 for a week now with no problems. Hurray!

I happen to have 352.84   364.51  364.72  sitting on my HD, glad you're having success, but if anyone needs these....  all for Win 10 64 bit

@wilri001 Glad you got it working. Can you remember which driver version was giving you the original problems?

I had used 353.30 and 364.72.
