Well, doubt you tried very hard at all "searching" the internet or this forum, since the attached link is shown as one of the "Tutorials" for the Vegas Forums.

Wish all of these people who continuously post that they have "Searched...pretty much everywhere", yet our wonderful contributors to this site, and others, on their own time minus being paid for their assistance, seem to always be able to find the "searched item" rather quickly. Thanks Dr. Zen for this "Great Tutorial", that incorporates a lot of valued research from others, that all of us that actually "TRY" to search, can find and utilize.

Hi Hulk,

If you follow Dr. Zen's tutorial to the letter (as linked by Chief24 above), you will have success FrameServing out of Vegas to Handbrake. I FrameServe from Vegas 13, 15, and 16 without issues. However, there is a difference between the scripts from Sony Vegas 13 and prior versions, and Magix Vegas 14 and later versions. If you are following older installation and setup instructions for Sony Vegas that may have caused your issue, you need to follow Dr. Zen's tutorial for installing and setting it up for Magix Vegas Pro.

I did find that tutorial. Sorry. It's 35 minutes long. I was looking for something a little more succinct.

Eagle Six wrote on 10/19/2018, 2:13 PM

If you scroll down the page his tutorial is also in written form. If you read his tutorial, including the time to download the required program/file version, it shouldn't take much longer than 30 minutes before you will be up and running and that should then stop the time spent trying to get your issue fixed the hard way. Just saying....

Chief24,

I did try searching "hard" for an easier, quicker way of getting this working. But you are right. I should have titled my post "Easier way to blah blah blah."

Again I apologize.

I was able to get this working but after the first time using it when I tried to run another job I'm getting the following error? "Unable to create signpost avi file. Please close any applications that may be using this application and try again." I have tried to manually end any process that may be related to the process but can't get it going again without a reboot. Any suggestions on this issue?

Hulk wrote on 10/21/2018, 7:44 AM

It was the pfmap appllication still running after a failed attempt. Thanks for the suggestion Nick.

That's one of the cases you should use the script "unmount" to get that workflow resetted.
