Roger: BTW, do you have any other surprises up your sleeve soon?

Thanks to shogo's post, I came up with a script that creates velocity envelopes on every marker to mimic the effect in the video he linked to. I will probably add some more stuff to it before I release it though.

Yeah! Keep 'em coming. I will haunt your webpage 'til it's there. Or maybe it's better if you announce it when you're done. I know you have a lot of stuff to do.

Can't wait for this I was about to give up any hope of intrest in the other post I started but thanks to you my wish came true. The trapcode plugin I was taking about will not support Combustion so this is really cool!

Also would it be possible to have it target specfic FX.
Example: you have a cookie cutter effect and would like to shake just that filter or effect.
Maybe have it target presets, so you could create a preset and then target that preset?

Just a thought, anyways great work man!

Don't think this has been reported. On my machine, if I create a selection beginning at the front of the timeline, the Vegas Quake script blows up *if* you ask it to create a video bus track envelope. If you just create the pan/crop keyframes, it works fine.

I can copy/paste the error message if you can't reproduce Roger.

Please do, I haven't seen this error before.

What version of Vegas are you using?
Videomonster wrote on 2/22/2004, 9:20 PM
Does anyone know if this script is available for Vegas Video 3.0...I don't have 4.0 yet...I need to get 4.0 soon though...

Vegas 3 doesn't support scripting, so i would guess the answer is "no".

Thanks Chienworks...

Great job Roger, I just started working with it today, looks like a lot of work went into this.

As described above if you start the region at the beginning of the timeline it produces an error and fails to create the Motion Blur and Supersampling envelopes on my machine also (V 4.0d). No where near a show stopper but since no one has posted the error for you, here it is;

START error;

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

END error

As the error implies it may be because there is always a default envelope point at the beginning of the timeline.
