I recently built a Core 2 Quad
Intel MB
4 Gig Ram
2 Boot drives...Vista 32 and Vista 64
2 Drives Raid 0
1 Drive archive\backup for Raid
8600 GTS Vid

So very similar to your plan.
Thought I would boot to Vista 32 to do most things because of predicted problems with software and drivers in Vista 64.

But I am very pleased that everything I have needed to do works perfectly in Vista 64! I never need to boot to Vista 32

My workflow involves some older work done with Sony SD & HDV cameras.
All new work done with Sony SR1
90% NLE work is in Vegas 7.0e
10% in Ulead VS11+
Audio work in Sound Forge and Acid
Fixing to add a Roland FA 101 (has Vista 64 support)

So although many of you guys do more sophisticated work than I do, (I goof around mostly) I see no reason NOT to run Vista 64.

And I could be wrong, but I believe each different version of Vista supports different capacities of ram. VIsta home\business 32 being the stingiest. It only reports 3.5 gigs of my 4. Vista Bus. 64 reports all four and can support...I think 16?
