@Ronald-Guthrie welcome to the forum. I too used VS and PS for a lot of years, but migrated over to Vegas about 6 years ago. No, it doesn't have the templates, plugins and other features that VS has (and it's still installed on my computer), but I just enjoy editing with Vegas.

Suggestion, go back to your user Profile and add your computer specs to your Signature as I did below. It will save a lot of time if someone needs that info to help you along the way.

I have Dynamic RAM set to it's default. I rarely use it since I have other tools that will do almost the same thing. Also, stop by and read this POST for plugins that work with Vegas. Some are free.

@RogerS, thanks for correcting my mistakes! Thanks also for the feedback and suggestions. I'll give those a try, and perhaps post more rendering times when I have some time.

Thanks again!
Ron

@Reyfox, thanks for the welcome! I decided to come over to Vegas since VideoStudio's releases became less and less fruitful. I had used it from VS4SE all the way to VS2021.

Thanks for the link to plugins that work with Vegas. I did manage to get a special upgrade for Continuum a few years back. Wow, is that a lot to learn and unpackage! I also have SonicFire Pro 6. I'm still miffed that Corel pulled the support for that years back. Anyways, I'll work on getting my signature updated.

P.S. I'll take any tips since I'm still very much a newb with Vegas. A lot of power to unravel.
