Notably it also fixes the integration issue with the new HitFilm 3 Pro software.

I wonder if the fix allowing SVPro 13 to read MS13 files means we lose the backward compatibility - We have been able to open SVP 13 files in SVP 12 until now. Seems like one of the SCS folks made some comment about this.

Question: Did you all have to uninstall VP13 before you could re-install the new build?

no need to uninstall earlier version.

@ChristoC
Do you mean earlier version of VP13 or earlier versions of VP like 11, 12? When I run the installer it is telling me VP13 is already installed and I have to uninstall it before I can re-install it. That is certainly not my favorite way of doing as I am sure I will lose all my settings and customizations.

The update we posted today should help with the interop between Vegas Pro 13 and HitFilm 3 Pro, but let us know if you're still seeing problems.

We also just announced a special holiday Vegas Pro Suite bundle that includes HitFilm 3 Pro, BCC Art Looks, NewBlue FX Sample Pack, and a 6 month Red Giant Universe Subscription. There are upgrade paths for Vegas Pro owners too.

Build 428 fixes none of the specific bugs that are currently affecting me:

1. Closed captions do not display
2. Panasonic GH4 23.976p and 24p clips have extended video
3. Crash after paste event attributes
4. Crash when renaming files in Vegas Explorer window
5. Bug loading windows layout at startup
6. GPU bug: Pale edges of imported Photoshop layers

Disappointing.

I wonder if the fix allowing SVPro 13 to read MS13 files means we lose the backward compatibility - We have been able to open SVP 13 files in SVP 12 until now. Seems like one of the SCS folks made some comment about this.

No problem here. VP13 projects still open in VP12.

Yes, Nick. I saw your 6. I do hope SCS reads this thread and takes a long hard look at your quality testing.

SCS, please comment?

Grazie

Another biggie that doesn't affect me personally yet is the poor responsiveness of GoPro files. Apparently much slower in VP12 and VP13 than in VP11, assuming this build hasn't addressed it.

and it still crashes on loading prores files from BM4K

The Wave Hammer surround activation problem still exists. The only way to work around this, that I know of, is to install an activated Vegas 12 version.
