New XFX Radeon RX580 / no GPU

I recently upgraded from a 2GB XFX Radeon 6950 to an 8GB XFX Radeon RX 580. Render times on the new video card are awful; GPU seems non-existent. I was getting better than real-time 1080p renders on the 6950. The new card took 6 minutes to render a 90 second clip!

VMS recognizes OpenCL in versions 13 & 14. I checked & unchecked many options but no change. Latest version of Radeon drivers have been loaded.

Any suggestions? Anyone else have a Radeon RX 580?

Thanks Nick. I thought I ran a good search before posting...guess I missed that one.

Looks like the RX 580 is a NO-GO for Vegas Pro and Vegas Movie Studio. Hope I can return this 580 for a 480.

So, if the RX 580 is out, what is the next best recommendation that is NOT the RX 480? They are becoming less available and the price has hiked from the $300 range to $500-700...eBay probably the best way to get one. I am building a new computer and frustrated with the video card selection. I would prefer to purchase something from a trysted retailer like NewEgg or Amazon. Will a GeForce 1060 be fine? For the foreseeable future I am not doing 4K video, just HD stuff for home movies and my band.

...or should I just build and use the onboard graphics until the AMD Vega consumer level GPU's are out. I assume I can still do some editing without a separate graphics card in the short term. I am patient.
