NewBlue Titler Pro 7 - Open FX - not working

Your computer should have no problems with the software.

All I know is that I've used TP7 from within Vegas and as standalone without problems.

I have the same issues with Newblue titler 7 - not opening from vegas (I don't remember about standalone). Using Titler 6 version - it is working properly.

@Alex-Pitel  ... I think that the same advice that jetdv gave earlier will also apply in your case:

I recommend you contact support at newblueinc.com and open a support ticket. NewBlue support can help resolve issues that forum members cannot.

Whatever is causing the problem, it doesn't seem to be universal given that both @Reyfox (as commented above) and myself are not experiencing any problem with TP7 in VP19 (mine is build 643) either as a plugin or as a media generated event.

I recently got TP7 along with the whole NewBlue TotalFX7 that came with Magix Movie Studio 2022 Platinum. I didn't like this re-write so I went back to using Movie Studio 17.0 which sort of worked. However, Movie Studio 2022 Platinum came with the entire NB TotalFX7 package. Finally, I decided to upgrade to Vegas Pro 20.0. I got Titler Pro 7 to work at least cone once but ow when I create a new project and add TP7 to my project things do not work so good. TP7 just hangs and never starts when I try to open it. When I close the app, I have to kill it the program TitlerStandalone.exe because it never responds. Interestingly, when I do it, the title goes upside down in my project which is totally bizarre. If I open & close Vegas, the default title appears in the correct position.

This is extremely frustrating because I want to use TP7. I had to go back to use Vegas's tools. Has anyone figured this out.

Which version of NB TotalFX7 do you have? The latest build is 7.8.221114.

To check, open the Standalone version of TP7, click on the Help menu item and then select Manage Activation in the context window that opens. The NBFX App Manager will show the version as well as any updates that migth eb available.

Also, add any NBFX filter to a video event on the timeline and, in the Video Event FX window for that NB filter, click on the 'About' menu selection. The following should open:

Check 'on' the 'Disable GPU for all products' (that's all NBFX products including TP7) to test if there is some mismatch between Vegas Pro's use of the GPU with NBFX's use of the GPU. This was suggested to me by NBFX Support years ago when I was experiencing some issue at the time.

I can say for sure, that with my computer (see signature) using a different graphics driver than 22.5.1 will cause the library in TP7 not to open, causing it to just hang there. All the other NBFX from TFX7 work except TP7.

Thanks @Dexcon for pointing that out about the GPU. I didn't know that.

@Dexcon, Titler Pro 7 always uses GPU (in fact, a supported GPU is required for Titler Pro 7) no matter if you check that box or not. That box only applies to effects and transitions. So the correct statement would be:

Check 'on' the 'Disable GPU for all products' (that's all NBFX products except TP7)

Check 'on' the 'Disable GPU for all products' (that's all NBFX products except TP7)

What a complete fandanglement……

jetdv wrote on 2/7/2023, 10:37 AM

Titler Pro would be much slower without the GPU acceleration...
