Paul, we have changes to the database made and I am currently filling in the necessary information into the database. We are planning on making it live this week. As I originally said, it really is more complicated that simply "change the file name" but we're almost there.

As for your issue, it is certainly not being ignored. I have forwarded all of your information to the developers. Sometimes it's hard to resolve issues that you can't duplicate.

By not making a pre-emptive announcement of your database enhancement status/delay, and having users subsequently complain about your perceived lack of follow-through, you guys are digging your own grave with respect to your business.

Version/build numbers are now live and you can see them here:

Step in the right direction, Ed.

Now how can we tell the Vegas Pro (bundled) version from that link? All I see is a PC and a Mac version.

Thanks,
Tom

Do you mean Titler Pro? Just look at the version/build listed there. You can update to the current "Windows" build. Please only install the OpenFX version. There was new new Titler Pro release made yesterday which you can see from that page is build 120815. If you go to Check For Updates in Titler pro, you'll also see build 120815 is available.

I still recommend uninstalling the current Titler Pro before installing the new build.

And what is now the purpose of this link:
http://www.newbluefx.com/so/sonytitlerpro/

are we to disregard that now.

Paul.
jetdv wrote on 8/22/2012, 10:31 AM
That page is still valid and will still allow you to download the current "ForVegas" version. But once you have installed it once, you can update using the "ForWindows" version just fine.

If you need to reinstall for any reason, using http://www.newbluefx.com/so/sonytitlerpro/ to get the file is fine. Once installed, just to go Help - Check For Updates to see if a newer version is available.
paul_w wrote on 8/22/2012, 11:29 AM
So is it also ok to do a clean install using the ForWindows version, or must we use the ForVegas version first then update for some reason?

Paul.
jetdv wrote on 8/22/2012, 1:03 PM
Yes, it's OK to do a clean install of the "ForWindows" version.

Jetdv, I know this is off topic, but can sony users buy the new Soledad
and Muirlands Style Collections for the Titler or do we already have them?
paul_w wrote on 8/22/2012, 2:21 PM
Will try a full uninstall - reinstall of latest version and see if it helps.

@ edward.

hi edward, posting here as i think maybe the following two questions might be of interest to others...

a. where can i retrieve my serial number from? i know it came with sony's order confirmation for 11, but unfortunately it's on a dead hd. yes, i did write it down elsewhere, but......

b. i see that under 'add-ons' there's a trial version of essentials ll, and it appears i can't delete it. i would appreciate having the option of NOT installing trials rather than them being installed by stealth.

thanks, and as ever excalibur is still coming to my rescue with great reliability....

Update, sorry but still crashing with latest version. For me at least.

Zeitgeist, those packages are addons to Titler Pro so you will need to purchase them in order to get them.
jetdv wrote on 8/23/2012, 10:29 AM
Leslie,

a) For a bundled serial number, you would need to check with Sony Customer Service. For a purchased serial number, log into our website and it should be listed on your profile page.

b) We do not stealthily install trials. If there's a VE2 trial installed, then you must have installed it at some point. Simply uninstall VE2 and it will go away. If you don't see an option to uninstall VE2, then I'd install VE2 and then uninstall VE2.

Paul, we've seen a lot of positive responses from the latest build and it has resolved a lot of issues for many users. We are still working on it every day, though.

@jetdv:

I just installed the latest NewBlue Pro Titler from the NewBlue "an update is available" prompt in Vegas Pro 11.

I first uninstalled the prior NewBlue Pro Titler. I installed only the Open FX components. My first NewBlue ProTitler came bundled with Vegas Pro 11. This new installation did not require a registration, presumably because it knows it was bundled with VP 11? This is totally cool; you might want to include some explanatory language to this effect in the Help section that discusses activation.

Here is my question:

My prior installation recognized my other NewBlue transitions (such as Light Blends) but this new installation does not. Must I uninstall and re-install those in order for this newest ProTitle to see them? Wahhhh! Noooo! I have several packages and that would be a bummer : (

Thanks for all the hard work on this. I appreciate your patience and persistance. So far so good on the stability for this newest NewBlue ProTitler for me.

You may need to reinstall the original packages. Only the 3.0 versions will be recognized in Titler Pro and you can choose to only install for Titler Pro without affecting the current installation.

Jetdv, I've been unable to find how or where to buy them on the NB site. Are they up yet? Thanks for all your help. You are very helpful & nice. I like the NB Titler a lot & feel it has unbelievable potential.

G'day,
I've just downloaded the latest build of NB Titler Pro 120815 and still I am getting crashes, even after paying attention to clicking on the "Match event length" button. I've submitted a ticket to NewBlue so here's hoping, and I believe I have all the settings right.
When I am actually using the program I like it a lot, any other suggestions,
thanks
Marcus

I have the latest NB Titler Pro and video drivers on VP11 and get regular crashes. Is there a "best practices" document that covers this matching of event length and any other tips?

As you say, the plug is very useful but I have to save after each change to avoid losing work. At least the renders come out ok and don't crash (knocking on particle board).
jetdv wrote on 8/29/2012, 9:32 AM
Marcus & Chip, what's confusing to me is that I can do everything you are referring to without any crashes at all. Everything is simply working. If you could provide a "start a new project, do this, this and that and the crash happens, that would be very helpful.
