what's up?
hmm I see, there's an embedded "keycode" in the URL link, not sure if that's for everyone, or person-independent..
Hmm should I get Cinescore or not? I'm a royalty-free using music kind of guy.. but I used to author-compose music (roland D-50 etc), so maybe it would be useful.. the price is solid, eg $149 includes cinescore + both theme packs...
Heck I'll eat crow and take back all my doubts, if I can get the V7 upgrade, modest as it is, for just $149, now that's not too bad... :-) thx sony.
and I might even double my order to $300 to include cinescore..
Now that I finally took a moment to try to listen to Cinescore, my Win XP machine doesn't understand the stream from their examples, ditto my Mac with WM plugin.
I'll fire up a few more machines here, but why does it have to be so hard?
No sooner than I placed my order, here comes my email in my inbox. Figures but its all good. Cant be it for $157 (2nd day shipping) I got the additional media as a backup.
right - it's worth the $150 just to stay in the upgrade loop, and hopefully the improvements in Vegas 7 will be good, albeit minor improvements.
What I'd really like to see is the guy at bluff titler somehow work with vasst or jetdv or someone to turn bluff into an integratable plug-in for Vegas.. or hopefully see a new titler for Vegas 7.0b ... and something with more auto lower-thirds type capability.. that would be helpful..
anyways, kudos to sony for making the u/g to V7 very reasonably-priced... now I hope they get so many sales they can afford a few more dedicated programmers, to add significant changes to V8 etc
Yeah I was suprised (pleasantly) at the upgrade price. While Sony may not have given us a ton of new things the price reflects accordingly. Kudos to Sony for sure. Now if I can only get some sort of academic deal worked out with Cineform and Serious Magic, life will be butta from here on out for my class room.
Just reading you guys is worth all the upgrades in the world.
I HATE it -
I LOVE it -
it SUCKS -
I expected so much MORE...
SONY SUCKS!!
Heeyyyy - that's not a bad deal...
WHEN CAN I GET IT???
I'M IN ! ! ! NOW - send it now!!
In the weird times that we live... this particular thread (backed by DAYS of endless dissection) - has given me the best smile of the week. I love you guys - you are all so PASSIONATE!!
(and I'd be lying if I didn't agree with EVERYTHING you both wrote - thanks for a great ride)
lol Vic, 'tis true.... every word of it... i liked your comment on soup too, that helped me put it in perspective... i guess we're all so close to vegas, great phrase re we're passionate about it since we use it so much... I spent more time w/vegas than my wife this summer... :p ah well..
time to render..
egg on face, because I thought it would be a $250+ upgrade but now Sony made
it right... wouldn't be worth it, minor improvements for that price tag, but for $135 hey I bought it pronto... that's great...
I'm very embarrassed to ask this but I just purchased Vegas 7.0+DVD. I downloaded Vegas 7.0 and it installed Vegas 7.0 and Media Manager OK but where the heck do I download DVDA 4.0?
If you didnt find it already go to the top of these pages under
"My Account"
go to the my orders and click on the order it should take you to a page with links for everything.
I kept going to the upgrade page (they do have Vegas 7.0 there) but could not find DVDA 4 anywhere. I did find it via your suggestions and it's time to play!!!
