First of all real pros at the top of the food chain are not leaving Apple because they never used Apple in the first place. It was all marketing crap and lies.

So, Cohen brothers edited a few movies with it, so what? they could have edited it on windows movie maker. They have talent and 99% of what they do is writing, directing and picking the right people behind the camera. They could have edited those movies with 2 VCRs by cutting and taping tape back together ( that probably would have been faster than FCP ). They still would have been great movies.

90% + of movies and good TV shows have always been edited on AVID, it never dropped below that. FCP was/is occasionally used by a few real editors and the rest was mostly garbage like reality TV, maybe news ( more reality TV essentially ). Apple is a consumer company that sells consumer products. There is nothing pro. or creative about them.
