Noted.

FRIENDS, SUCH TESTS MAKE LESS SENSE. YOU WILL SEE THE REAL PROBLEM WHEN I SEND YOU ALL THE FILES AND YOU WANT TO PUT THEM ALL ON YOUR TIMELINE. THEN IT WON'T WORK. BUT IT'S 19 GB, NO ONE WILL WANT TO DOWNLOAD THAT much...

What we see in the video presented at the beginning in the first posting, are decoding error. That has nothing to do with the size of the overall project. And nothing with the number of files.

One sees that in the movement of the hands:

All what it needs is an update of the encoder, and that has happened in later Vegas builds, where the footage is decoded in a correct way.

Up to you what you do with that information.

I had similar problems with some 4k files.

The solution for me is Vegas 21 b208 and older, or try the latest update Vegas 22 b194

right, the decoding errors shown here in the initial video looks similar to what we have seen with the mxf files. That is why I stated that it are decoding issues.

But here the good news are, that I have not seen that with the test footage that was uploaded. So maybe that does not show up in VP22 b194 any more (for the footage discussed in this thread).

No matter for me that this error could't be seen in Vegas 22.
I as a customer bought Vegas 21. And am not going to buy Vegas 22.
It SHOULD WORK perfectly on Vegas 21.

It is also strange that one of you want me to use older version and 2nd of you wants me to use a NEWER version...

And I am finished. I can't wait so much time, I have to finally start to montage my clips... How many months did I loose yet (you also)?

@Vegas21_user Try the last "classic" build of 21 which is 208 or attempt to use the legacy decoder by checking legacy AVC/ experimental AVC in options/preferences/ file io.

The new decoder introduced in 21.300 has a variety of decoding issues that were mostly resolved in 22. So as a fellow NVIDIA user I tested 300-315, found them not workable for my usage, and went from 21.208 to 22.239.

I don't really view VEGAS as distinct versions as the development cycle is rolling. 21.300 is really like a first build of the VP 22 branch with new decoders and an improved video engine.

Your decision what you purchase or not only. Also what you try or do not try. This is a user based forum, where friendly users make suggestions only. But you can ignore their suggestions, up to you.
