Beginning last Friday 4/16/21, opening files that previously worked in versions 17 or 18 failed to open in their respective version of Vegas Pro 17 or 18. I've checked the Vegas versions, video drivers, Windows updates--all up to date. Not sure what triggered this problem as I have been working files in both programs almost daily for the past few weeks, then Friday night--whammo! The "Vegas Pro has stopped working" dialog box now opens instantly when I attempt to open a file either though the File/Open command or by double-clicking the file in Explorer. Through Saturday, the Vegas program would begin loading the file, and then crash at roughly the 39% to 61% mark. Opening the version 17 files in my older computer (which still has Vegas Pro 17 loaded (and previously worked) also comes up with the same crash and dialog box. Help!
