I don't have it or use it but if it makes edting faster.. it is worth it. Time is money for everyone.
plus if your a pro, $80 is easily recouped.

for me time is everything. If I could afford it I would have it.

It seems allot like Ultimate S, Excalibur, Production Assistant. But from someone that I have never heard of.
Until more people sound in on this I would stay away from it. Vegas can be unstable for some and this plug-in might cause more problems then it is worth.

I use it and I like it. You'll find the tool's author in this forum.

I just installed and played with it. It's a cool program. I also like Excalibur and if I were you I would try out all of the major scripting programs to see which one you like best. They all have free trials.

Editguy43 that's pretty paranoid to think. The next generation of anything would never get started because only well established programs (which often overcharge) would always stay in place. New competition is good it keeps the "old man" on his toes.
New is often better.

No not paranoid I don't think, more cautious then anything. I enjoy trying new things and I also don't like to pay an exorbitant price for the "established" I have though had the computer crashing bad software scare also, so I am a bit Leary about things that have not been "proven" so to speak, I often feel more comfortable when I have heard of the author of software, thier website is a little short on who they are. I will do more research on this because for the money it seems to do allot of things
So do not get me wrong I am all for the little guy making it big, (i hope i get my shot someday) ;-)

Has anyone ried thier freeware video4youtube yet.

Hi,

I regret that toolbar in Vegas in so short (or toolbars in others windows (like TL, trimmer or poject media are not user-configurable)) because my toolbar is already fulfilled with excellent commands from Vegasaur. I use it non-stop. I like especially :

1) pan crop copy / paste / reset
2) match output / source aspect / original size
3) split / unsplit event
4) quick select / quick properies
5) bypass all audio / video track
6) remove all effects / transitions.

There is also powerfull transcoder and render assistant (which give sound when rendering is finished and can start external player). Absolutely fantatstic is preset manager : with one click you can export your environment to another computer (fx and transitions presets, chains, render templates, protype titler collections, project templates).

Best regards,

RRA, are you one of the developers of Vegasaur?

I used the YT freeware set to "best" setting.
It looked great ....until I uploaded it to YT

I'd like to thank everyone for their input to my original question - you've been a tremendous help in me deciding. The bottom line is that I ordered it yesterday.

Anyone know what codec / bitrates / deinterlacing method that video4youtube is using?
altarvic wrote on 9/5/2010, 11:47 PM
Sony AVC, bitrate depends on the selected quality and resolution, deinterlacing method is Interpolate Fields

I've just tried it and I'm planning to buy it. It has a HUGE number of nice and useful features, most of them with smart options. I like it.
