OT: Excellent software

I try not to post much software that isnt video related but I have to give major props to ISOBuster. A couple years ago, I used very crappy DVD-R media when backing up my audio collection and found about 20 DVDs that I couldnt copy the files to my hard drive from. I was frustrated but I held on to them just in case it was just my DVD drive that had problems reading it.

I ran across ISOBuster and gave it a shot and I am happy to report this software is amazing. Old software CDs that had scracthes, DVD-Rs on crappy media, no problems. The only downside is depending on how bad the read errors are depends on how long it takes to recover the files.

Definitely worth its price.

Thanks for tje tip. I had some CDrs crap out on me like that, back when that was my backup medium. I would have killed for something like ISObuster back then.....

I'll second that. ISObuster rescued some of my audio backups once as well that I'd put on dodgy Princo media.
