I try not to post much software that isnt video related but I have to give major props to ISOBuster. A couple years ago, I used very crappy DVD-R media when backing up my audio collection and found about 20 DVDs that I couldnt copy the files to my hard drive from. I was frustrated but I held on to them just in case it was just my DVD drive that had problems reading it.
I ran across ISOBuster and gave it a shot and I am happy to report this software is amazing. Old software CDs that had scracthes, DVD-Rs on crappy media, no problems. The only downside is depending on how bad the read errors are depends on how long it takes to recover the files.
Definitely worth its price.
