OT: International order from B&H, cc verification

Hi all,

Im trying to order the Sony Vegas 8 upgrade from B&H and I live in Finland. They require me to send a faxed or uploaded photo of both sides of my Visa card.

Sounds super weird and I've never heard of anyone require this? Is it safe? Has anyone outside USA or Canada done this?

Yes, I have done this with B&H. I emailed a picture to them when I ordered Vegas 6 about 18 months ago. No problem at all. B&H is a reputable company. They have to make sure you are reputable too!

excellent! Vegas 8 upgrade on its way for 99 dollars, with the dollar so low thats like less then 70 euros :)

Even with the faxes of the card and a solid order history they won't accept mine because it's a UK card and my shipping address is in Thailand. I have to transfer cash into their account instead. Their competitors like Adorama accept my card though and ship quicker than B&H too.

Just ordered a tri-pod from them... had to do the fax thing you described. It arrived three days early.
