OT NewBlueFX Upgrades?

DigVid, the link is correct and will download build 141009. If you're having issues with it, please contact newblue support.

If you are looking to upgrade to the new product line of Titler pro 3, the "Ultimate" version includes Titler Pro 3, all styles packages, all Lower 3rds packages, and After Effects support.

Yeah, it makes no real sense to the established editor with NB plugs. The new upgrading system is like a streamlined rpg video game for the next gen with everything clumped together with odd icons.

A real shame because the NB Titler 3 is Awesome. Can't wait for version 4.

Yes jetdv, it was correct...

The problem for me, was trying to update without first removing the older TP3 software first. Now, that I don't think I ever had to do before. Now it is updated to build 141009 and all is okay. However, I still can't find the newest build 141010. Now my current software says it is the most recent. You sure work hard on these boards Edward, I will give you credit for that. THX!

Will there be an upgrade path from TP3 to the next or do we have to buy Ultimate? I like TP3 but will not spend any more signficant $$ to upgrade....

dancerchris, I do not know the answer to that at this time. I will certainly do all I can to see that that option is available.

I asked NewBlue and they said TP3 is still a current product. I would assume that when TP4 comes, there will be a TP4 "basic" level to upgrade to from TP3.

Official clarification would be nice given the whole NewBlue reorganization.

One question about TP3 is that when I installed the latest update, during the installation process, it still says TP2. Has the installation name not been updated or is it installing older necessary TP2 files?
jetdv wrote on 12/5/2014, 12:28 PM
It installs into a Titler Pro 2 folder with a Titler Pro 2 file name because it completely replaces Titler Pro 2.

Ok, thanks!

I, too, have had major frustrations with NewBlueFX upgrades. They just didn't think it through.

Why do the AB, LB and PB effects work with no watermark, but the 3D series (that I actually use) does NOT work without a watermark UNLESS you for over $99 for the "latest" version?

Only way to make the earlier versions work is to disable GPU Acceleration.

I don't think we should have to upgrade to use plugins we've already paid for - "credits" notwithstanding.

Instead of "upgrading" my NBFX I recently received the latest upgrade for Hitfilm 3 gratis because I already owned their plugins. Even at full price Hitfilm 3 (which includes their plugins that work in Vegas) is cheaper than upgrading my NBFX. Something worth considering.

@ JETDV
If I open TP3 standalone and check for updates I am told that my software is current at 140516.

When I sign in to NB the file available to download is 140827.

Is the file 141009 a more recent update to TP3?

Somewhat confused.

Geoff

Geoff, I do not know why it is saying that as the "check for updates" file is referencing the 141009 build. Yes, 141009 is a more recent update.

I have had the same problem. The check for updates feature has never worked for me in TP3. It always said my version was current. All the other NewBlue products I had were able to successfully check for updates. I have reported this to NB support more than once.

I always manually checked and updated TP3. Unfortunately the DL page no longer exists and the account page may not list the most current build as you have seen.
