Since we cannot list items here for sale, how many of you would be interested in having a "classifieds" site where forum members could list equipment, software, etc. they would like to sell to other members?

If enough are interested, I will happily supply the site/space.

My only hesitation would be the risk of an "outsider" learning about the site and posting something and pulling a scam.
If offers and sales would provide for buyer/seller contacting one another personally (or at least e-personally) before the transaction, to make sure they trust one another, then this could be a nice focused marketplace.

Ernie, you bring up a valid point. However, I believe if everyone uses common sense and exercises some due diligence, most, if not all, scams will be exposed for what they are.

I've been working off used stuff most of my life...I like being able to research if someone who has say, a camera for sale, has been bitching about what a piece a crap it was in the forums!
