> "Why can’t SS3D simply place keys on the event track which it already does but without creating a parent track"
ScatterShot3D does add animation keyframes to the event tracks when needed. It only adds them to the parent track when they need to move in unison like for the area scatter. but switching from a cube to a matrix would add the keyframes on the event tracks. It all depends on what animation you are doing.
> "This way would eliminate stacking of parent tracks for event motion which we don’t really need."
You are free to uncheck the option for making a parent track. It's your choice. You still need the parent track if you want to move everything together. So, for example, if you make a video wall with the matrix scatter and you want to rotate the entire wall at once, you need a parent track to control this.
I need a clarification on the contest:
The promotions page says enter by 8/17 @ midnight. The contest page says enter by 8/15 @ midnight. Which one is correct?
I also sent an e-mail saying I can't change my Vasst password (don't see a "change password" option in my account anywhere), I never heard anything back.
I'm having trouble getting my Circle to rotate the images in a symetrical oval. It's more like an egg shaped oval and the thick part of the egg switches from the left to right side of the screen every other rotation.
Does anyone else have symetrical circles (ovals)? Can you provide your settings on the track motion for the Parent? Admittedly I am new at 3D track motion so I'm sure I'm missing something.
My project settings are for HDV. Parent Track Motion:
Position:
X 0
Y 800
Z 5000
Orientation
X 0
Y 20
Z 0
Regards,
Kimberly
Edit: Never mind. I figured it out. It was the pixel aspect ratio in my project properties. Happy times : )
I'm not sure why the contest page said 8-15, but I think it's corrected now.
If you sent an email to support[at]vasst(d0t)com, and it was after hours or during the weekend you wouldn't hear back till the next business day. If you sent an email to them over a day ago and didn't hear anything back, you may have been pushed in to spam or something???? If you sent to ultimatesupport[at]vasst(d0t)com then you need to re-send it to support as ultimatesupport is for software tech support only.
