Got an underwater shoot on Thursday in 16:9 PAL for German TV using my VX2000. I've only ever shot 4:3 PAL. Anamorphic adaptors will not work with the housing.
I've tried the 16:9 mode on the VX2000 and it looks pretty good to me but I've read that it's better to shoot 4:3 with a top/bottom matte in memory mix mode and then crop and fix aspect ratio and in post. Haven't tried that yet. Before I waste hours doing so, does anyone have any opinion or experience of what the quality difference might be?
And I don't suppose anyone has pre-made matte to put on the memory stick?
