Page Turn effect

Okay, I know it is cliche', but it will work in this instance. I just can't figure out how to make it look right.

I have a yearbook for a reunion video and I want to us the page turn transition to go to the new pages. As you might expect, the book is not the same aspect as the video, so the page turn starts in the far top right of the video not the top right of the book.

Any ideas, or is Vegas the wrong way to do this?

Thanks

Create a project the same size as the book, apply FX...
Nest that project into main project.

One way to do this is to set the project properties equal to the width of the page. If your overall project is 1280x720, then set the project properties to 550 for an 8.5x11 page. The page peel will start at the edge of the page. Some number divisible by 16 will probably work better like 544 or or 560 but will produce black edges.

You may have to render the stills with the page peels to an intermediate then include in project with standard project setting. Or you could nest.

edit: I'm slower than Bob but I eventually get there.

Thanks Bob.

I found a tutorial for After Effects that gives me a far better 3D feel. I was thinking of doing what you suggested but it would have been unworkable in Vegas because of the image size. Abou 2000 x 1500pixels.
