Pan/Crop Function jumps in Vegas Pro 15 v216

When I try to rotate a clip on the timeline to straighten the horizon, I can no longer do it smoothly, using my mouse. I've always been able to do it smoothly in the past. I've been using Vegas Pro for about 8 years, so I'm pretty familiar with how it used to work. The only way I can make small incremental rotations is to use the dialogue to put in the degrees of move.

And once I have been able to successfully rotate the image the proper amount, using the numerical input dialogue, when I go to crop in to eliminate the black edges, it jumps to a large crop....way beyond what is required.

I have the latest version of AMD's software. I've also tried turnng of GPU render assist.

Any suggestions? I've looked up posts related to Pan/Crop but haven't found anything that seems to relate to the issue above.

Thank you,

Len

I have VP15 build 261, also with latest AMD driver. I did not see any changes in the alignment. It can not always turn to a tenth of a degree, even if you start the mouse far from the center of rotation. I rarely have to enter the desired values.

Do you have the magnetic function enabled?

Thank you, Walter-i. That was it! I didn't even know there was a magnetic function until you mentioned it. Problem solved! Just in time, too, as I'm about to edit a lot of aerial clips and the horizons need some help. This forum rocks!

Some days ago, I had also problems with it, and did'nt find a solution - your question remembered me the case, and now I tried to find it out.
In addition I found, some symbols in Vpro 15 got a new style - but I also never used the magnetic function before.....perhaps it was enabled by default?
