Hello all, me agian with my usual, occasional random plea for help. This time it is because I recently had to recover my system (lost so much) and along with everything else I lost Picture Motion Browser. I live on that program as I have a Sony avchd cam.....

I am in South America.. I desperately need it..

Thank you all,

I think it's a free download. Google it or "PMB"

This came up as the second google hit. Maybe it's searching differently in your part of the world.

Try this site.
The one John linked to says "Note: This utility is only for use with the products identified and sold in United States, or Canada."
The one I linked to says Note: This utility is only for use with the products identified and sold in Latin America, or Brazil.
Hope it works for you.

i c e: 2 other options
- connect the memorystick directly to upur PC - if no slot then you can get an adapter - price range 10-20 US.
- connect the camera to your PC directly via USB cable. Then you can browse the memory and the card in the camara via the Windows Explorer (they pop up as external storage - and you can read and even delete clips. Just remember to use the Windows function "Safely remove Hardware" every time you unplug the camera or the stick from your PC).

I have had 6 or 7 SONY cameras the last 2 years but never used the PMB as the above ways seem better for my workflow.

With my camera, the files for each clip on its disk are labelled sequentially and have a different file extension to that produced by PMB, so presumably are wrapped slightly differently. After using PMB, the files are named according to shooting date and time, which I find very useful. Two other smaller files also get produced for each clip which presumably are helpful for PMB as a database.

So it is not simply a matter of copying files.

Hey thanks a lot you all. I really appreciate it. I finally got it to download and install correctly. So I am back up and running.

The reason is that window cannot play AVCHD files straight up. So hence the need for PMB.

Thanks a million.

peace
