Pink edge on my transitions - images and videos (slide right to left)

Lukas-Mozga wrote on 4/19/2023, 8:48 AM

My slide right to left animation seems to have some kind of corruption as it contatins some kind of pink edge by default. I checked the transition settings and there is no edge turned on. See image below. How can I get rid of this please? Thank you. Win 10, Vegas PRO 15 latest available version.

Should be under the "Video" category - VEGAS Effects is a different program.

What is your video card and video driver version?

Does this still happen if you turn off GPU Acceleration?

@vkmast Move to video category. Thanks!

@Lukas-Mozga Does this happen regardless of the file you apply the transition to? Have you already changed the preview quality to "Best (Full)" to see if the pink line continues?

Thank you for answer. Yes I tried different files and formats including jpg, png and MP4. Total of 7 files. Problem starts when the left side of the shown area is not filled. When I use full video resolution(working in full hd) it's fine, when I mask it, it's there again. Yes I increased the preview quality to the best one. Looking forward to hearing from you again and thanks for help.

@Lukas-Mozga
I see the same on my VPro 15 latest build.
It happens if you don't choose a full preview option and my GPU at Preferences/Video has also been chosen
So both @jetdv and @m3lquixd gave a solution to overcome this, look at my video

I get a slightly different edge problem, it's not red/pink it's a kind of edge corruption & doesn't matter which preview option, Best, Preview, Auto or Full, but this & @j-v's video are different to the OP's, @Lukas-Mozga states "Problem starts when the left side of the shown area is not filled" , Is the blue Sliding across?

My issue, second pic zoomed in,

@Lukas-Mozga complained about VPro 15 and yours ( @Former user) is VPro 20.
Is that the same problem?

Sorry but looking at the video, The pink edge is there in both cases you are showing. Is it not? Sorry if I am wrong.

Former user wrote on 4/20/2023, 10:37 AM

@j-v No or maybe it's not the same problem as the OP, you don't get a pink line on the left side that is not yet filled, you get it on the edge of the piece that is sliding in.

@Lukas-Mozga yes,

But your line is further over isn't it?

Do you have Linear Wipe?

m3lquixd wrote on 4/20/2023, 12:36 PM

I didn't know this problem. Really, when we use this transition it causes an edge in the video, even with it rendered. So it's not just a visualization problem but it's in the transition itself. I tried several things here and it always continues with this line.

Disabling the GPU acceleration fixed it. (FYi my GPU is GeForce GTX 1660 Ti). Thanks for the help.

I took a screenshot as the transition is happening and also the blue bit only covers 40% of FULL HI (on the right side). Its background for text.

Yes. Exactly. Its part of the renders too. I would not stress over it that much if it was in previews only.
