EPsymp: you forgot the http:// part. Without that, the link gets appended to the current web page's directory, so you're effectively sending people to http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/homestarrunner.com. I don't think this is what you intended.
OK I'll give it another try <a> URL:http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/
Didn't work. If I put <a> and around URL in other forums I get a hyperlink?
It dosen't seem to recognize the first anchor tag?
thanks chien, i didn't check if it worked so i was oblivious about the error. woot
hope that works
yup...
will this work for most forums and and other places or is it different depending on the site? (sorry, i don't know a lot about macro web crazy lingo things and stuff)
Some yes, some no. SoFo's forums and Creative Cow allow the < A > tags to work. I believe it will also work at DMN Forums. Other forums want you to use http://www.lklkjsdlkfjslkdfjl or http://lsakdjflaskdjflaskdj. It is VERY forum dependent.
I started this whole thread. As a result, I am now going thru a tutorial on html. Everytime, I get involved in one of these threads, I end up spending hours learning something new. Mabe I should get a life.
