Here's a link: W3Schools
Open "source view" and see how it's done.

Straight HTML is all that is needed to create a link. In the example below, replace all "[" witn "<" and all "]" with ">"

[A HREF="http://www.yourdomain.com/whatever"]Text name for my link[/A]

The IMPORTANT thing is to include the "http://".

just trying this...
haha

EPsymp: you forgot the http:// part. Without that, the link gets appended to the current web page's directory, so you're effectively sending people to http://www.sonicfoundry.com/forums/homestarrunner.com. I don't think this is what you intended.

OK I'll give it another try <a> URL:http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/
Didn't work. If I put <a> and around URL in other forums I get a hyperlink?
It dosen't seem to recognize the first anchor tag?

OK, lets try it again

is a link to a page on
the World Wide Web.

It seems to have worked.
Thanks for you help. I guess I will start to learn HTML

thanks chien, i didn't check if it worked so i was oblivious about the error.
woot

hope that works

yup...
will this work for most forums and and other places or is it different depending on the site? (sorry, i don't know a lot about macro web crazy lingo things and stuff)

Some yes, some no. SoFo's forums and Creative Cow allow the < A > tags to work. I believe it will also work at DMN Forums. Other forums want you to use http://www.lklkjsdlkfjslkdfjl or http://lsakdjflaskdjflaskdj. It is VERY forum dependent.

<< I guess I will start to learn HTML>>
The link in my example above was not randomly chosen. It seems a lot of you guys ought to take the hint.
