Portrait Renders Crash Software Everytime

joshua-noesser wrote on 7/25/2025, 6:23 PM

Good Day,

I recently upgraded to V22 250 and i was going to create a Instagram video from a main video I had already created to create for searching for it. When i go to render in portrait format, the software is crashing every time. I took my normal video setting, cropped my clips, then went to run my Instagram render and dead... Everytime. I have done this a bunch of times in the past, not sure what has changed. Anyone know what is going on? Anyone have a different format I should try?

Hardware

i9-14900k

96 GB Ram

Nvidia RTX4080 (Driver 577.00 latest)

Windows 11

PS, it will also crash windows sometimes and I get problem reports. Below is a pull from that

Just for testing purposes if you change Mainconcept to NVENC does it work any better?

Do you think it has something to do with the specific media used by this project? If so could you share MediaInfo for the main media in use?

Here you go. I don't think so as I am using a standard format camera

Using the other encoder worked.

That's odd. So the NVIDIA hardware encoder worked but Mainconcept failed. If this happens again I'd like to get to the bottom of what's going on with Mainconcept (CPU) so we can get it fixed.

It happens every time I try. Without exceptions. I am happy to help out to get this fixed.
