I want to learn how to score film Soundtracks using Acid. I think thats one of my big problems with Acid. Not knowing how to use it.

How about making a Video of the Seminar then. I was just curious Spot but did you use Acid to compose what you did for Tom Cruises latest Blockbuster.

Spot,

I am very close to the California location and am interested.

I have a Sundance login ID but I don't think I am on the VASST mailing list. How can I get myself on this list to receive the offer? If there is a way to sign up on the pages, I didn't see it.

My email: rexa -at- rcn -dot- com

Thanks.

Guys, we'd LOVE to bring VASST to all these cities. Unfortunately, we aren't made of cash, so have to pick and chose cities based on past attendance. We'd hoped to make this be a 9 city tour, but the $$ just aren't there.
If you want us in your city, get a group of 8 folks to sign up and yourself for free, and we'll be there. As far as registration, there are registration buttons all over the two agenda pages....
Regarding "Last Samurai," the drums you hear are indeed ACID loops.
Grazie wrote on 2/15/2004, 10:02 PM
OOOh Spot? - I've just got Acid Pro .. . showed I client what I can do with it , . . . now she's after me doing a Japanese type of music bed . . Any ideas for loops out there .. It was your comment about "Drums" and "Last Samurai" that I pulled both these things together .. . Kodo drums and tinkling sounds .. . yeah?

TIA

Grazie
Spot|DSE wrote on 2/15/2004, 10:05 PM
There are already Kodo drums available as a giga library that can be converted, or you could use my Voices of Native America Acid library to pitch the same thing....
Shamisens, shakuhachi's, all are available. Glad you were inspired. Fly over to Atlanta and we'll really get you inspired!!
Better yet, fly me back to London. Our last VASST there 3 years ago was pretty good.
Grazie wrote on 2/15/2004, 10:27 PM
Thanks Spot! You were in London with VASST 3 years ago?!?!? - Wow .. .

That was very quick .. it's 6:30 here in London . . what time you got .. ? Anyways, are these loops on the Acid planet site? So, " .. . as a giga library that can be converted, " . .er .. you saying I just get sounds and then ACIDize them? This sounds good ..

Bump...

Spot,

I saw the registration buttons for the seminars, but you mentioned this:
"Forum members get a discount on attendance for single or both dates. Watch your email for more details. (if you are on our mailing lists)"

I took that to mean there would be an offer somewhat better than the web page shows. Was I wrong? I don't think I am on the VASST mailing list, so I was asking how to get on it. I didn't find any mention of a mailing list on any pages I looked at.

>"now she's after me doing a Japanese type of music bed "

What's that - a futon with a stereo nearby? - Look after yourself Grazie!

Spot,

Could you read my last message and tell me if I missed what you were getting at when you talked about an email message?

Also, can you clarify... I see three classes offered. Am I correct that the Acid/Surround class is a package of the other two classes: Acid and Master Surround. In other words, if I sign up for the Acid/Surround, I get exactly the same material as if I enrolled in the two other classes?

Thanks.

SPOT said: "If you want us in your city, get a group of 8 folks to sign up and yourself for free, and we'll be there"

So .. are there eight of us Torontonians (besides me, of course) who are willing to sign up and get Toronto included on the VASST tours map?

Speak now!
