I have a very irritating problem. When I open the effects window with an effect assigned, the preview screen stops previewing (although audio still plays). When I close the window (with the effect still engaged), the preview works again. Open the effects window and it stops again. If I remove the applied effect using the fx- button, the preview works even with the effects window open. As soon as an effect is added -- and the effects window is open -- the preview freezes.

This happens with all sorts of effects (not just the chorma key) including the native Vegas effects.

As you can imagine, this is very frustrating because to you cannot see the real-time effect as you adjust the effect parameters.

Any ideas about what is going on and how to fix it?

(the full screen preview usually works, but of course it covers the effect window, so likewise, the effect parameters cannot be adjusted in real time.)
