Problem Loading VP13 veg files in VP15

I am using VP15 trial version to see if I will update from VP13. However none of my old VP13 veg files get past loading into VP15. The load up just fine but when I try to do anything VP15 locks up. Is there a procedure for converting the old veg files, shouldn't they be backward compatible? VP15 works fine if I start a new project. Seems to work great infact. I was also able to export from VP13 as a PrPro project file and import it into VP15. However that looses some of the details (effects, titling etc.)

I also checked my plugs and for the most part they are picked up by VP15.

Any suggestions?

It may be due to 3rd party FX in your project that are not functional in VP15. If you have any, try removing them (in a copy project in VP13) to narrow down the cause.
