Thank you for the video but that only showed what you already told us. You still need to provide some information about your system. This crash is likely related to an issue with one of the video encoders being initialized and it is having issues with your computer configuration. Until you provide that information, we are unable to provide any help. Please read through the information from the page I linked to in my previous comment, specifically looking at sections B and C.
In any case, in addition to the things that @VEGASDerek asks, at least provide build number of VMS Pl 17 and screenshots of Options/Preferences/Video and Options/Preferences/File I/O
The iGPU associated with that CPU is problematic and below the system requirements. I would suggest deactivating that GPU so VEGAS Movie Studio does not attempt to try to access it.
In VMS Pl 17 go to Options/Preferences/Video and switch off "GPU acceleration of video processing"
That will not affect the launching of the render dialog. Deactivating the actual GPU is the best solution. The other option is to go into preferences, select the General Tab, and unselect "Enable QSV Encoding and Decoding".
Hi Derek, I am back again. Unfortunately your advice doesn´t help at all. I am wondering. With my laptop I was making videos in previous versions Vegas 11, 14,15 without problems. This problem appears at first time in version 17. However, I have made planty videos in version 17, without using advence set up output formate. I can not go back again to the previous version - if you understand. Do you have any other help, how to use vers. 17 fully?
