Program freezes while deleting a portion of a clip

Vegas Pro 14.0, 64 bit, build 201. While the project is running, I am splitting clips and then deleting portions of clips no wanted. The video freezes, the audio keeps playing. the title bar say program not responding. about two minutes later, it starts working again. This can happen every five or ten minutes.

Nick - Are you a moderator? You are exactly right. Any idea why Vegas hasn't fixed the issue? Or when they will?

Yes.

No idea. It may be very difficult to fix. It's not one of those bugs that you suspect can be fixed by adjusting a couple of lines of code. Or it may simply not have reached the top of their backlog yet. I think the chances of it being fixed in the foreseeable future are stronger than they were a year or two ago.
