Look for a .bak file and change to .veg and try again. Or use advanced save in the future and create incremental backups if you're on a recent version of Vegas.

I have done all this and nothing works...

Just to be clear: You found the .bak, renamed it to .veg and that doesn't work?
If you get an error message, what exactly does it say? Screenshot please.

Yes i found the .bak and renamed it to .veg. it did not work. Now, vegas pro 20 says there is no file when recovering, and as i click the file after the steps performed, it prompts me to repeat recover file. Im stuck in a loop with no solutions.

Doesn't sound good.
For the future: You have now set the automatic backup as RogerS suggested?

Upload the VEG file somewhere and see if any of us can open it. We don't need the media to try and open it.

@Fits any chance you have Microsoft onedrive on your computer? If so you may be able to get an earlier version of the veg file from Microsoft cloud. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/restore-a-previous-version-of-a-file-without-unwanted-changes-bdb2cafa-d588-475c-97d7-20e8b9949b84
