Project settings blinking while playing video in preview.

I just recently downloaded Sony Vegas Pro 19 and I am trying to make some Mario videos with it. I haven't done much with the software so I still have mostly default settings for everything. There is some text between the tracks and the preview window that says "Project: 1280x720x32, 30.000p" "Video 1280x720x32, 30.000p" "Frame 3392" and "Display 1547x870x32. While I am playing the video on the video preview screen, these numbers are blinking on and off which is distracting and hurts my eyes.

How can I remove these numbers or at least make them stop blinking while I am working on my videos?

Not sure if it would make a difference but I am using a Dell laptop with Windows 10 that has AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and AMD Radeon GPU. Both have the latest driver updates.

To turn the status information off, right click the preview window and in the contect window that opens, uncheck 'Show Status Bar'. I am not experiencing flickering with the status data even with 4K AVCD video on the timeline with Vegas Pro 19 build 424 so it would not seem that the flickering problem is an inherent problem in VP19.

BTW, there is no such product as Sony Vegas Pro 19. Sony sold the Vegas product range to MAGIX more than 5 years ago, the last Vegas Pro version from Sony being version 13. Please see https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/sony-vegas-vs-vegas--119881/
