ProType Titler caused an error.

An error occurred while creating subtitles in ProTypeTitler, which prevents work on this event.I was able to save the program while the error occurred. Open the project in the latest build and enable text editing, as in the picture...


This will open an edit menu that is unusable. It will be white in color and will be suspended.

The error occurred while checking another forum thread. I decided to inform you about it.

Probably if I deleted the event and created it again, there would be no error.
But that is not the point. The point is that developers should be aware of such bugs and fix them.

I am terribly disappointed with what is happening with the Vegas 21 program. I encounter errors at every step. The terrible thing is that such situations have been occurring for years. I recently switched to the latest version, hoping that after 8 releases of the program it has become a better software... But as you can see. Unfortunately, nowadays I can no longer afford it and I have to report every mistake to the creators.

So you're mad that a plugin that was deprecated (i.e. no longer supported and has not been updated in a decade) doesn't work correctly in the current version?

BTW, it HAS become "better software". It's much better today than it was a decade ago.

This is excellent! In fact, as long as engineers can reproduce these bugs stably, they will fix them quickly.

@Vegas21_user Protype Titler has long been discontinued. It is no longer being supported and will not be further developed. That is why it is in the deprecated category..... Vegas Pro has vastly improved since Magix took it over, if it was up to Sony, this software would be long extinct.

I see your many posts with you encountering errors at every step and at the same time repeating the same underlying rant.... But for me and many others, the latest Vegas versions works quite well. Sorry we cant be of better assistance.

@Vegas21_user I could reproduce the error in your Error,ProType Titler.veg. But after creating the same Title (Rolling Glow and Enlarge) with my Protype Titler, I couldn't reproduce. So there is just only something wrong with your Protype Titler...

I get the impression that there is something wrong with your PC system and not with Vegas21 (assuming that your Vegasversion is legal and registered).

It sounds like you had a error using ProType Titler in the old Vegas.
Can you record a screen recording and point out the specific steps to reproduce the error so that developers can fix it?

If a bug can't be reproduced, it's actually very difficult for developers to fix it. It is because developers can't determine the cause of the bug as soon as they see your description. They need to try again and again to make the bug from reproducible to unreproducible, so as to ensure that the bug is fixed.

I just tried simulating make the Protype titler in previous version VP20, and try open in latest VP21, and I can still edit that Protype titler.

But I can confirm that the Protype media in only your project file can't be edited any further - same, white UI.

@Vegas21_user That's why it's in the Depreciated folder as has been mentioned more than once, & for the record I've been playing with this 'change glow colour' since you posted about it, I've opened ProType many many times not one crash or blank window, I'd also like to add that this (300) is the best yet, I've had no crashes.

You do seem to be having a lot of problems that you blame on the software...?

I'm a novice when it comes to ProType but since you posted about changing the colour I've been playing with it, it took me 10mins to create this from scratch, no preset from the Collection, even tho I'm still quite unfamiliar with it..

With respect, I strongly disagree with this. Keeping deprecated features such as ProType Titler in the software allows me to open my old projects that use it, without installing an old version of Vegas. I'm grateful that those features are "opt-in" and labelled "Deprecated", so I know they may not function correctly.

As others proved that Protype Titler is working correctly and without bugs, it seems that your Protype Titler "bugs" are not created by Vegas but created by you or your system.

Maybe you could show us how you created that "buggy" veg you uploaded, with a screenplay.

@Vegas21_user It's because I'm opening different instances of ProType, it's refreshing the window each time, at no point does it become 'all white' except for the very brief moment it refreshes, perfectly acceptable & expected behaviour!

You must have enabled Protype Titler before, to be able to use it in VP21. Because at default all deprecated features are disabled.

@Vegas21_user this was my last hint...I'm wasting my time.
