THANK YOU, thank you!

Missed the post with those "other" places.

Downloaded from them in under 2 minutes!

And in case you missed it: THANK YOU!

Bob.

Bob,

Glad you finally got it. It really has been a Keystone Cops romp on this, and I've gotten a bit confused in the process,
So allow me ask you this since I don't want to post pages that don't work (= not being helpful to fellow Vegas-ers):

Q: Did or does the one on my site work for you? I had made and included a Flash version for instant viewing.

Thanks

Yes,
thank you. It too I can download in 1:45!

I'm pretty certain it is just the name of the file that was causing me grief getting it from Vegasuser.com.

Maybe the local gateways have a Limey filter :)

Now that I've finally got to see the dang thing, it's very interesting. Don't know if I'd try doing something similar, just lack the artistic skills to make such things work or to be honest even pass a meaniful comment which is why you'll rarely see me comment on the work of others unless it's some technical boo boo.

Now in this case (what Grazie has done), one technical comment would be to add some GB to the text when it's in motion, that helps to make the motion more natural.

While we're on the subject of Protype no one seems to have commented on the OpenType tab! All I can say is what's in there is a HUGE step forward over the old titler just for basic static text. Now if only the dang thing would stop crashing I'd be more impressed. I had it spit the dummy several times doing nothing more than selecting a font.

One other interesting thing is Protype renders the same font slightly differently to the titler.

This is my first experiment. Yeah, there's some slop (especially timing). But neatness wasn't the mission.

If I can't get much, much faster, ProType probably will seldom be a productive use of my time. But it is fun.

Ouch! Thanks. I hope I have it fixed now.

but there's no download link. if i copy/paste that i get an unknown file error.

You don't get the Flash player?
Then there's this method:

Hey, tididit, I LIKE it!

Maybe you can tell us how you did it?

I haven't messed with the titler at all yet, but you guys sure make it appealing. I'm going to have to give it a shot.

And here I thought that "Keystone" Cops were Pennsylvania State Troopers...
