I don't see where anyone said that they were so "very content" with Vegas. Did I miss it? "Only do certain workflows" ? Don't remember seeing that either.

I don't know, maybe I missed it. I'm not going to read the whole thread again. I don't have time.

I think we can report our problems, discuss them, and find mutual solutions without denigrating each other, the software, SCS, or anyone else. It's counter productive. So is denying there is any problems with Vegas and playing the part of SCS cheerleader.

Just Chill.

Criticism needs to be positive. If not, you are just venting.

This is not the place for that. It wastes time, and energy.

Don't take it out on me.Go take it out on who or where you usually do ...

I've been running it since it came out, no issues and not one crash yet and I used to get loads to the point I was about to give up with it.

Only plugin that wont work for me still is NB colourfast I'll open a new ticket for that, they were helping me before but I just gave up as I was having so many general issues I didn't think it was fair to continue as I couldn't isolate it but now it's just that.[edit just noticed there was a new version, still dosent play well with my GPU but now working nicely with CPU so that good enough :) ]

Running the new catalyst 12.104.2 drivers on firepro 7900 have vegas on default settings still, haven't had a need to change them yet def using graphics card and cpu's properly now for me nice preview, just works and I've stopped even thinking about it.

I have done a full system rebuild as well so it's obviously not like for like and perhaps I had some other environmental factors at play before impacting Vegas and / or the new drivers for the GPU but it's working that's the main thing and I can enjoy it again.

fingers crossed.

From the thread, New Update:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=865383

On this thread I was having issues,
www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=863974

But now I can now render to .mov intermediates w/ 12 multi-threads and for the heck of it cranked up my preview RAM to 10Gigs. Renders my 7-10 minute videos in 15-20 minutes vs 1.5 hours.

This is a 4 cam multi shoot w/ added tracks for color adjustment and dedicated tracks for events w/ specific cropping and effects needs. Track counts were between 8-10 video tracks and 6-8 audio tracks.

I don't have to reboot my machine between renders anymore.

Man I wish this fix came out two weeks ago, could have saved me a LOT of time rendering 11 videos...
