Registry key missing, Boris RED 5????

Hi all,

I've been a user of Movie Platinum 13 suite for the past year or so but haven't used it for awhile until today. So on starting it back up I got this message below.........I tried reinstalling MP13 but still to no avail. I also downloaded the standalone trial version of Boris RED 5 thinking that would help but yet still the same thing.........

 

Can anyone help with this? The only thing I've done different prior is that I've installed a suite of PC optimising tools from IOBit. I'm guessing maybe during a scan it's deleted a key in the registry by mistake??? cos apart from installing some new games, I haven't done much or messed about with my PC to trigger that message.

 

Would appreciate if anyone can shed some light or point me in the right way to solving this as Google searches has come up with absolutely nothing to resolve this.

EDIT: I've deleted all the IOBit tools and reinstalled the whole MP13 suite and still the same problem.......can anyone help as this is seriously frustrating the hell out of me.

Before you downloaded that trial of Boris RED 5 have you ever knowingly had Boris RED on your system, or is this just out of the left field?

I would try cleaning the registry as per section 22 in this post. If it doesn't work straight away, try a clean uninstall as per section 18 of that post (you may have to adapt the instructions to VMS because they were written for Vegas Pro), then reboot, then clean the registry again, then try installing again.

Hi Nick,

No, this is the first time I've heard of Boris Red when I got that pop up. The closest thing to Boris installed on my PC prior is the Boris FX which was included as part of the suite.

I've also just got Vegas Pro 14 a few days ago and installed that and when I start it up I get the exact same message.

I'll try out that post in the link as yo suggest and see it that'll help. Thanks for replying. I'll report back whether if its a success or not.
