Reinstalling Vegas Pro, but can't.

A few days ago, when I logged onto my computer, most of my files were corrupt. I found out that they were moved to a file called "windows.old". After moving back most of the files, all but one worked. That was Vegas Pro.
First I got errors about some .dll files, and I fixed that.
Then I got errors about not having a license, so I had to move some files around to get past that.
Third, once it finally loaded up, It gave me an unkown error, with no errors in the description.

I tried reinstalling Vegas Pro, but it says that I need to have the file "vegas150.dll", and I can't locate it.
I deleted all the files I could find, then tried reinstalling Vegas Pro, and it said it was already installed.

I deleted all the files in AppData, Program Files, Program Files(x86), and ProgramData.

Any tips?
Using Windows 10.

I mean all but one program.

I just need it to reduce files size from renders in After Effects, as after 2 hours of uploading, it upload 3%.

Do a clean uninstall as described in these instructions, then reinstall from a current (build 311) installer that you can find in this thread. You'll need to change the numbers in the locations from 14 to 15.

I don't understand what you mean by "HKEY_CURRENT_USER", and "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE".
I'm new to the software, and am using the trial. I haven't had it for anywhere near 30 days though, only about a week.

I still cannot reinstall, even after deleting all those files. Do you think there could be some files in C:/Windows.old/ ?

Thanks

I don't know. It sounds like you might need to do a fresh reinstall of Windows. You might try a repair install first (which I have no personal experience of).

Yeah. I've been having problems with my computer starting up, and that might fix the problems.

I also deleted unnecessary files in C:\Windows.old\, and that didn't help.

But thanks for helping. I'll get back to you after I do that reinstall of Windows.
