Just wanna share this simple editing done with VEGAS Pro 17 build num 387.
So I when out for a shooting with friends in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. This iconic building, Istana Budaya apparently is under renovation, hence you can see all of that dirty & broken panels on the structure itself. So I was thinking if I can somehow clean up the roof & cover up the broken panels with VEGAS Pro.
So what I did, I used the Beziere Masking to individually motion track the broken panel & the roof with Mask 1 & Mask 2, using perspective mode. I'm impressed how accurate VEGAS Pro 17 motion track the panel & the roof (although I still need to manually adjust the panel motion tracking position for few frame as it jitter a bit) .
Then, I search for the clearest/sharpest frame of the video and take a snapshot from the preview window to do the clean up in adobe Photoshop. Im pretty sure this can be done with VEGAS Images, but I'm more familiar with Photoshop workflow.
After I done "fixing" the broken panel & clean up the roof, I save the panel & the roof seperately as PNG file. Later in VEGAS, I imported back the panel & the roof into VEGAS timeline & match it with the previous frame I've snapshot. I add PiP on both Panel & Roof images & resize it back to 100% original scale (0.5 = 1.0).
Finally I copy the Mask 1 ( Panel ) & Mask 2 ( Roof ) tracking data & paste it onto the Panel/Roof images.
