Are you wanting to capture only selected frames, or EVERY frame?

In Vegas 9 - 13, image sequence output can be found at:

File / Render As / Image Sequence (*.bmp, *.dpx, *.exr, *.jpeg, *.png)

Select the range to output on the timeline.

Then, in the Render As dialog box, check the box: Render using loop region only.
