Render As?

I have a project that is taking way to many hours to render in DVD-A. I rendered the original project at MPEG-2 HDV 720(1280)-30p and then when I go to DVD to create a disk there's no equivalent video format in DVD Architect. DVD- A lists 720 (1280) -50p and -24p. I'd like the video files to not be re compressed in DVD-A because it takes so long and should not be necessary.

Could someone tell me what my settings should be in Vegas and in Architect for a smooth workflow? The original foottage was shot with an Panasonic HMC-150 in 720/60.

What am I doing wrong?

You should be encoding using one of the DVD Architect templates - not HDV.

Are you trying to make a Bluray disk or a DVD?

Is your original footage 60p or 60i?

720-60p is a format supported by Blu-ray. 720-30p is not. So you should keep the footage as 720-60p.

Incidentally DVDA always recompresses HDV. It shouldn't have to, and Malowz came up with a patch to fix that. It's pathetic that SCS haven't done the same. Or maybe they have. They didn't even issue release notes for the last release (build 135).

The original footage is 60p. My problem is that I don't know what settings to use. When I go to Render/Save as Type/MPEG2 then under Template.....theres no HDV 720-60p. There's a 30p.

Can you tell me in detail how to create a customized template for 720-60p?

THANKS!

I think only 30p will work and mixed formats on 1 BRD are not allowed
