Have you also updated the graphics card drivers? - (Help / Search for driver updates)

If so, take the next step and set under "Preferences / Video" Dynamic RAM Preview to "0" (Please only change one thing at a time so that you know what ultimately helped)

If that doesn't help either, deactivate the graphics card in the form below as a test.

i have done what you said, i have checked my drivers with iobit driver booster 8 Pro, i think i have to upgrade my windows 8.1 to windows 10, i dont want to upgrade but when i installed VP it said that my windows is not supported, should i upgrade u trie anything else?

walter-i. wrote on 12/19/2020, 1:59 PM

Vegas Pro 18 requires WIN 10, some can also work with WIN 7, but Vegas has built in some new functions that only run under WIN 10.

Please check the driver update with the function built into Vegas Pro 18, because Vegas Pro 18 selects the drivers that are optimized for Vegas Pro 18 - for example: Studio (and not game) drivers at Nvidia - and also selects them in the preferences settings optimized for Vegas.

Please also check whether your PC meets the minimum requirements for Vegas Pro 18. https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/specifications/#productMenu
There are also users up here who are clearly designed below that, but they will soon reach their limits - and you never know where they are. Those are the mistakes where you look and look and look .....

Strange - that's clearly not OK. You could still try to reset the software to the delivery status.
Please follow the procedure exactly:
https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/

And your PC meets the minimum requirements?
It is best to document your PC system and the software used in your profile under "Signature" - then it will also be available for other inquiries without always having to ask.
See my Signature for example

Recently in my ASUS ROG, I have to start with empty project first (cancel loading previous project) and put media generator anything (checkerboard), then do File>Render as... in order to make the render dialog box appear.

Then after that, open the previous project, proceed.

Not sure the solution may the same to you, but works on my system via this way.

When you say does not meet the specifications, in what way?
GPU? Perhaps disable GPU in preferences if you haven't already.

From your computer specs listed under your signature, your computer is unfortunately inadequate to successfully run all functions of Vegas Pro 18 no matter what build. Your CPU is a Celeron from 2014 which is a low-end CPU aimed at low-cost low performance laptops. Earlier versions of Vegas Pro may have worked on your computer in the past, but as programs like Vegas Pro evolve, computer requirements update as well which often require current day technology.

If you want to fully use Vegas Pro 18, it's time to think about updating your computer to current day computer technology. If not, the other option is to continue using earlier versions of Vegas Pro that do function on your existing computer.
