Does it always crash around the same place in the project? If do have a look at what's on your timeline around that area that might be the contributing cause.

Could you share details for the media? https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

Does converting whatever media is at that place help? A free tool like ShutterEncoder could re-encode it or convert to ProRes, etc.

Thank you Eric and Roger. I appreciate your response and I have good news. I discovered the solution but I'm not sure what the reason for the crashes. The solution however, was that after I updated my NVIDIA 3060 graphics card drivers, and I found it still crashed, even when attempting a very simple one track project,

Then, I changed the rendering configuration, ... (again, and finally to this new setting:)
... from the MAGIXAVC/AAC MP4, with the Internet UHD 2160p 29.97 fps Template...
... to the MAGIX HEVC/AAC MP4, with the Internet UHD 2160p 29.97 fps (NVENC) Template

I'm not sure why it works now, but maybe it also has something to do with my updating the GPU divers.

I'm just super happy that this finally works. I've been working on my latest video for 6 months, and it's never crashed like this before. This however has inspired me to want to upgrade to ver. 22... if only I had the resources to do it. However, I know that would also slow me down cuz there's always a learning curve to straighten out, and that always takes me a lot more time.

I hope this may help others too, and I truly appreciate your input, my friends.

Thank you Roger for sharing that link... I will be checking it out now, regardless that I found the solution to my specific issue... BTW.. I'm not sure what details you'd like me to share, but if you l me know, I'd be happy to.

The difference between the templates is the first one uses the CPU (slower) and the second one uses the GPU to render (faster). However since you also changed the driver version it's not clear what helped you.

If you have more problems do try to share mediainfo for the media, too.

VP 23 should be out by summer's end so consider 22 on sale or 23 depending on your needs. I think 22 is a big improvement over 19, especially for NVIDIA users.

Not sure what Media Info you're referring to. If I knew, I would share that too.

@mike-lucido

Mediainfo link: (FAQ) How to post MediaInfo and VEGAS Pro File Properties

Roger wants to know the characteristics of the media on your timeline.

It's what I requested in my first reply with a link.

Thank you John. RogerS also sent me a link for me to figure this out but being so wrapped up in finishing the project, gave me little time to stay off to figure out what the links provide

But, all is not lost. I'm rendering again. Hopefully it will not crash this time, and after I publish it on YouTube, I'll have more time to jump on that research.

I'll figure out the MediaInfo and will get back with Roger, pretty soon on that.

If you use a media player like MPC, MediaInfo is embedded in the program if you go to file/properties. It's also embedded in ShutterEncoder and other software. Otherwise it's a nice stand alone program that gives insights into what exactly the media it is based on its metadata. Just MP4, MOV, or even AVC, etc. doesn't say much.
