Rendering issue with Pro 15

About 2-3 weeks ago my old CPU burned out and I had to send my computer to a repair shop to find the issue and get it fixed. They found it was the CPU and helped me replace it with a new one. It does not have integrated graphics like my old CPU did and now when ever I try to render a video on Vegas Pro 15, the program crashes as soon as I click "File>Render as..." I don't even get to the render options window anymore. I have done several google searches and found several fixes for similar issues but no changes.

I'm just wondering if there is any possible way to fix this or if I get Pro 22 on humble bundle if this is still going to happen?

Your hardware is modern so I'd jump straight to 22 as 15 wasn't great to begin with.

That said a reset may help 15, try holding control and shift on startup.

I just tried the holding down control and shift on program start up. It reset all the preferences and I cleared the cache to be safe. It is still crashing when I click Render as in the file drop down menu.

@Zealotjohn I’d go from 15 to 22 so fast you’d think a tornado just went by.
There is one thing you’ll discover right away. Vegas started handling video levels for you in version 18.

In Options/Preferences/Video (tab), is the 'GPU acceleration of video processing' field populated with your RTX GPU rather than 'Off'? It probably won't make any difference because my CPU doesn't have an iGPU and VP15 opens the Render As window without crashing whether or not the computer's RTX GPU is coded in that field.

One thing that you could do is to install the free trial version of Vegas Pro 23 and see if the Render As problem exists with VP23. If not, there's a good chance that there shouldn't be a problem with VP22 either (no promises though).
