Rendering Problems with Transitions

Comments

3POINT wrote on 7/1/2023, 1:17 AM

@Theuns Probably you didn't read my comment where I advise to match the rendertemplate the project settings. Also I showed you how you can filter the templates automatically so that Vegas shows you the correct rendertemplate to use. Still you're asking which rendertemplate to use.

Your project settings had a framerate of 50p and now you're rendering with a template with 30p, instead of 50p. To get a more fluent slideshow stay with 50p (or even better 60p).

Also I would try a render without GPU support. Renders a little slower but probably without the glitches you still have. Disabling GPU support can be done in options/video.

Hi @3POINT

Thank you for Comming back to me I will go back and do what you advise me to do I think I mist it because of all the help I get from everyone.

I also Spoke to my IT guy that help me with the upgrade of my new PC today, Just after I had my new Computer everything was working fine but 2 or 3 months ago PC started to make nonsense when I want to Render.

We are going to Format my PC also to see if we can get everything back to normal again, But I want to make my memory better and get my PC's System requirements up to date then Vegas will work 100% better.

But still I need to supply the settings that you advise me with.

I will keep you posted and thx again for your advise and help.

Hi @Former user I did 100% of What you said and my Project Settings = my Render Settings See My Screen shot below

and here is the Screen shot of the Template that I did you what you Advice me to use

and Here is the Video After I render it:

and stile the Slide Show make the Same thing.

I did talk to the Shop Owner a friend of mine that did help me to upgrade my

PC to the Vegas System requirements but it was not 100% up to the standard that

you need to have, you can see my CP info in my Signature that I am sitting with

at this moment.

We want to Format my PC to see what will happen because at this moment I can only render under

my Admin Acc on my PC and not under my Personal name. if I want to render under my own name Acc

then Vegas Crash the moment I click on Render.

Is there anything that you can suggest that I need to do, Vegas was working 100% for almost a year before all this starts to happen.

Regards

Theuns

@3POINT's suggestion shouldn't be taken lightly. To expand on his instructions: Go to Options->Preferences->Video and Disable "GPU Acceleration of Video Processing." Then Close and Open Vegas.

That is a standard test to narrow down some rendering problems.

@mark-y Thx I Did and follow what you and @3POINT say and Todd

and still, the Video makes this nonsense : https://studio.youtube.com/video/_zj0tZb_7O0/edit

or is that still something that I did Wrong?

I can't access your link in the above post. If you added the default cross dissolve, does the same thing happen?

If you right mouse click on the transition and choose Fade Type, is the default ticked?

NewBlue transitions do not have "VEGAS" in the name. However, the transition highlighted in the image is a NewBlue transition - 3D Blow Apart. You can tell by looking at the string below the options:

What if you click on the "About" in the transition settings and then turn off the GPU processing for the transitions. Does that make a difference?

Reyfox wrote on 7/3/2023, 5:42 AM

I tried that transition and it worked without an issue. It rendered out correctly.

@Theuns, formatting and starting over is a nuclear option that still might not work. It takes so much time to put everything back. I don't know how you uninstalled Vegas, but when I want to "nuke" a program out of frustration, I resort to my Revo Uninstaller Pro. It will hunt for registry entries and additional folders that are leftover after doing a Windows uninstall. They have a free version you can download HERE. Moderate should be good. Just be sure to look through the registry and folder options to be sure they are Vegas related before removing them. Then reinstall Vegas and see what happens.

If you want to start fresh, I'd buy another hard drive (I use NVME's ) or SSD and start with a fresh installation of Win 11. I don't know if you upgraded from Win 10 to 11 or not. I kept my Win10 Pro drive still connected to my PC so I can make sure I have everything moved over. Eventually, I'll remove it from the computer, write what OS and date it was pulled and keep it as a backup.

Some have said that 8GB of RAM might be the cause, when Vegas recommends a minimum of 16GB for HD, and 32GB for 4K and up. Considering how much RAM Vegas can use, what the OS is using, in addition to having RAM available for the iGPU, maybe going to 16GB might help. This is speculation, but you certainly can't go wrong going to 16GB in video editing. Vegas seems to recommend at least 4GB of graphics memory for AMD and Nvidia too. But I have no idea of how RAM is allocated to the iGPU with Intel. Others would have far more knowledge than I.

Oh, is this a desktop or laptop?

new PC and I agree 100% with you about the Ram I already send him the System requirements

to look at and tell me what it cost.

It is not that big for me to form my PC and start over again.

Last year about this time I did buy my New PC to work with Vegas and then

Windows 10 was installed but with the Auto Upgrade, it upgrade itself to Windows 11.

As far as I can remember everything was working fine at the time, I did buy Vegas Pro 19

but now I did get myself the Vegas Pro 365.

@Theuns, there have been many comments and suggestions made about going from Win10 to Win11. And one of the most prevalent was to do a clean install of Win11. I could have upgraded 10 to 11, but opted to do a fresh install on a clean NVME. Win11 still isn't my favorite. I prefer Win10 over it, but Win7 has my heart.

Think about what types of video you are going to be editing. If you are going to edit 4K or beyond in the future, and build for that so you don't have to upgrade. Look at the recommended specs for Vegas too.

I ran a test placing few jpg's with NB 3d and indeed render have same issues .my system i5-6600 and 8GB ram.

I never did slideshow project nor did I ever used NB3d trans so I never encounter such issues, I'll look into it in coming days.

** I booted this early morning for testing.

I ran only VP19 and task manager. A 10JPG's, zoomed, 1080 25p 50sec project with various NB3d . Rendering went well using intel or NVIDIA and also as 50P . So I changed to 2K and try that, no good few visual glitches .
