Rendering Problems with Transitions

Theuns wrote on 6/29/2023, 3:40 PM

Hi There

I struggle with I problem that makes me nuts at this moment and

I can’t fix the problem.

My problem is that every time I do a Video with a Slide show combined with

Transitions I get the following problems.

1. The Video Pixelate many times in different frames.

2. Then the Video jumps forward and then back words

3. Then it makes some frames a total mess see my photos below.

To understand and see what I try to explain and show you what Happen

I did upload the Video for you to have a look at.

If you can download it and pull it into your Vegas Pro and forward it

Just with the Frame by Frame option, you will be able to see what the

problem is that I sit with. but if you just start to play the video you will

be able to see what I am talking about.

I use an External Hard drive  to save all the work that I do with

Vegas Pro.

Here is the Video

And below is my PC Specs to help you to help me :-)

Device name      DESKTOP-EPIES0L

Processor            Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz   2.90 GHz

Installed RAM    8,00 GB (7,83 GB usable)

System type       64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

And here are my Render Settings that I use to Render Videos like this

And also Some Screen shoots of the Frames just to show you what Happen.

This is two Frames

As I said it happens especially with photos Slideshow with Transition.

After I render it the First time i need to pull it in again into Vegas and Go and

Forward it frame by frame to Cut out all the Frames that did make a mess.

The Video that I did give you to look at had 85 frames that I need to cut out

the Firs time and I did need to repeat the process two times because it still

did the same this but then it is maybe about 5 frames that I still need to cut

before it looks good or acceptable.

Thanks for your help all ready.

Regards

Theuns

Your Project and Render frame rates don't match. You have Resampling disabled. I would start there.

Preferred Youtube upload format is AAC/AVC. The Windows Media format is pretty much obsolete.

I think the reason for your problem is a wrong rendertemplate.
Better is for internet a newer template with Magix AVC or Magix HEVC that suites your projectformat.
If you want to make a WMV file you can try the sample from me in my former comment.
BTW. Het lijkt erop dat je nog veel kunt leren en dat gaat denk ik gemakkelijker op het Nederlandse Vegasforum: https://vegas-videoforum.nl/

Do you transfer your media to a main on board hardrive while working in Vegas or work from media on the external hardrive?

Processor            Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz   2.90 GHz

Installed RAM    8,00 GB (7,83 GB usable)

System type       64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

8GB RAM isn't much, Magix recommends 16GB

& do you have a GPU? (Graphics card?

@Theuns Hi, can you click your icon at the top of this page - My Profile & fill in your Signature with the full name of your CPU, GPU & amount of RAM, also inc the Windows & Magix version, this will then show at the bottom of your comments,

@Theuns That's you CPU not your GPU. you need to enlarge the window or scroll down the left hand options to the GPU at the bottom,

3POINT wrote on 6/29/2023, 11:13 PM

@Theuns first I would start with a standard project resolution. 4096x2304 isn't a standard project resolution. Actually start with a project resolution that fits the resolution of of your viewing display, probably 1920×1080 or 3840x2160. Second, use a rendertemplate that uses the same resolution (and framerate) as your project settings. You can filter the rendertemplates only showing rendertemplates that match your project settings, which dramatically reduces the available render options and simplifies the choice of the correct rendertemplate.

I doubt that 8GB of RAM is sufficient to render 3840x2160 so probably start with 1920×1080 as project resolution and render resolution.

Processor            Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz   2.90 GHz

Installed RAM    8,00 GB (7,83 GB usable)

According to ark.intel.com the i5-10400 processor has an Intel® UHD Graphics 630 graphics on-die.

According to NotebookCheck.net

"Due to its lack of dedicated graphics memory or eDRAM cache, the UHD 630 has to access the main memory (2x 64-bit DDR3L-1600 / DDR4-2133)."

That makes running a system with 8GB of RAM that much more hopeless.

@Former user

Former user wrote on 6/30/2023, 1:25 AM

@john_dennis Yep i noticed that it was pretty much maxed out just doing whatever it is doing, so rendering must be painful & no wonder the transitions are broken.

3POINT wrote on 6/30/2023, 1:50 AM

Shouldn't be a problem for editing standard FHD resolution (1920x1080).

RogerS wrote on 6/30/2023, 2:09 AM

FWIW you can likely render out UHD with just 8GB of system ram. Close everything else running and be patient as it may take a bit of time. I did so with my 7th gen Intel laptop until I saved enough money to upgrade it to 32GB.

I confess I never attempted a wmv render in the past decade and would be curious to see if the issue remains with MagixAVC at UHD or HD.

My guess is the glitch may have something to do with the source media. Other guesses might be non-quantized media and old GPU drivers.

Theuns wrote on 6/30/2023, 2:15 PM

Hi Every one @Former user @RogerS @3POINT @john_dennis @j-v

Thx for everyone input and help @Former user here is my Screen Shot of my

GPU

As I said I did Upgrade and in fact, I buy a whole new PC that is capable to work with Vegas

but I also did not have the money to upgrade everything 100% up to standard but everything was

working and till this point, I can do most of the rendering. Sometimes my Vegas Pro 365 Boms out (Crash)

when I do Hight Teck Stuff.

I am working and doing video editing for Clients to get the money to upgrade my PC to the point where everything is up to Standard and not just the basics that are needed to run Vegas with no problems like I am sitting with.

So if you can just Show me or tell me What Template I need to Choose on the left-hand side of

Magix AVC/AAC MP4 below That will help a lot and then with the Right Setting in the

"Project Properties". Then I can die a Rendering and let you know if it did help, I believe it will.

Below is my Final video on this moment I create a 3D loop first and then Add it to the slide show

and then the Detorsions were less, before I did everything together and then it was really bad.

But I believe with your help it will be 100% the first time.

Here is the video thx again for your help and feedback :

@Theuns Don't use the QSV hardware encoder. You need to isolate where the problem is, Vegas has a low quality hardware encoder that does create distortion with slide shows in certain situations, but it's not necessarily the case here, encode with the 1080p setting using the template directly above the QSV setting you're using now. It will encode much slower, but if you still see the problem, then it will be known it's not hardware encoding related.
