Rendering settings

OhMyGosh wrote on 5/16/2019, 11:14 PM

I posted my video specs below. I would like to make some minor changes to my media and be able to render it back to, or as close as possible, it's original self. I need to take it into other programs and I don't want to keep hurting it every time I move it. I'm not sure why it can't be rendered just back to it's original self without all sorts of conversion? Guess maybe that's not possible, but in any case, why can't I find any 1920x1080 60p MPEG4 AVC templates like my media? Most p templates that I find are for 24p. What the heck, am I looking in the wrong places?

PS. With my latest project I'm looking to do it for and burn my first Blu-ray. Up until now I've done nothing but DVD's, so I'm really looking forward to seeing the quality and I don't want to do anything to damage or diminish that. Thanks. Cin

I think everything has already been explained in this thread https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/rendering-options--115727/#ca718099.

The same counts for VegasPro. Also VegasPro doesn't like variable Framerate. Beside burning a Blu-ray, the NTSC Standard for Blu-ray is 1080i60 or 1080p24.

Thank you 3POINT for the response. I guess my confusion comes from the fact that I always thought Blu-ray was progressive and I can't find any templates that come close to matching my media, they are all interlaced. Thanks. Cin

Blu-ray or Blu-ray Disc (BD) is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was designed to supersede the DVD format, and is capable of storing several hours of video in high-definition (HDTV 720p and 1080p) and ultra high-definition resolution (2160p).

You should be able to get, in addition to 1080-60i and 1080-24p, 720-60p/24p from a standard Blu-ray player.
